Ancient Pair of Canosan Pottery Doves, 3rd-2nd Century BCE. Canosan pottery doves, possibly from the same mold distinguished by their plump bodies, folded wings and having remains of white slip and colors on both. Both doves are 3 x 6 x 2½" Condition: Heads have been been discretely repaired to bodies, the patina of white slip and colors exceptional. Provenance: From the collection of Nancy and Earl Keefer.
