金刚杵白玉琢成，玉质温润细腻，满黄沁。柄部琢圆形棱面，圆柱形颈，下琢三棱面，中部弯曲，一端为刃头，表面光素无纹，线条流畅，打磨极为精细，且用料考究，配有底座，中间收腰，碾琢回形纹，上琢莲瓣纹，一端有孔，一端琢五个莲子。器形制为独钴杵。金刚杵中，以独钴杵与莲华部相应，置于坛城之西方，其独锋象征独一法界。在佛教密宗中，金刚杵象征着所向无敌、无坚不摧的智慧和真如佛性。
