此翎管为和田籽料，洁白莹润，留有洒金皮，打磨光滑。整体为随形雕刻，呈圆柱形，素钮有一穿，供佩戴，中掏深膛。此器虽治艺光素，但碾磨讲究，选材上乘，以显示玉乃山川精英的材质美。翎管是清朝特有的产物，佩戴翡翠翎管和白玉翎管常为一品文武高官的象征。
