In the center, inside a life jacket with the words BATTAGLIONE SAN MARCO TIENTSIN CHINA we find the photograph of the sailor, the tricolor flags of the Kingdom of Italy, two lions of Venenzia, and the facade of the ERMANNO CARLOTTO barracks in Tientsin which housed the men del San Marco from 1926.
