A PALE GREEN JADE 'MOUNTAIN' GROUP, A SPINACH GREEN JADE BOWL AND A PAIR OF 'BUDDHIST LION' CARVINGS18th/19th Century to late Qing DynastyThe 'mountain' group carved in part openwork relief to one side with a fish leaping from foaming waves, emanating a pavilion upon wispy clouds, beside a crane in flight and a bat above, the reverse with a deer and crane, all amongst pine, lingzhi and craggy mountain peaks; the jade bowl set on a neatly carved cylindrical foot rising to a gently flaring rim, apocryphal incised Qianlong seal mark, wood stand; together with a pair of mottled soapstone carvings of seated Buddhist lions.The 'mountain' group 14cm (5 1/2in) wide (5).Footnotes:Provenance: An English Private Collection.
