A RARE PAINTED ENAMEL 'JESUIT' BOWL AND COVER18th centuryDecorated to the bowl exterior with a continuous scene of European ladies and gentlemen at leisure in a tree-strewn landscape, attended by young boys dressed as putti, the cover with a river landscape scene, with European dwellings dotted amongst pine on mountainous shores, the base and top of the cover each inscribed in black enamel with an eight-character Jesuit mark.12cm (4 3/4in) diam.
