Oil on canvas Housed in a fine gilt molded wood frame Unsigned Written on back stretcher in pencil: “This painting belonged to Caleb Dustin Hunking/An early Hunking. She and __ /Thought to represent the Hudson River/It was given by his daughter Mrs. Hunking and Mrs. _ Clifton —– Then given to me in 1976.” Research indicates there was a Caleb Dustin Hunking (1805-1872) and was a New Hampshire resident.
