A Chinese porcelain wucai 'peacock' dish, late Ming dynasty/Transitional period, painted with a peacock stood atop a rocky outcrop amidst large flowering peony blossom and leafy stems, with insects hovering above, within a border of lotus flowers emerging from water and leafy branches bearing prunus blossom, 32.7cm diameter 明晚期/過渡期 五彩孔雀花卉紋盤 品相報告 Condition Report: Old hairline issuing from the rim, approx. 7.5cm long. Wear to enamels, particularly to the central reserve, with scratches to the porcelain and rubbing of enamels throughout. Some glaze flaws - a few scattered iron spots and bits of pitting. A small flaw beneath the glaze surface at 1 o clock, near the edge of the central reserve - please see images for details. Signs of restoration around the edge of the rim. A few small old nibbles to the footrim.
