PARIS pompous vase, c. 1850. Porcelain with a lavish decoration of rocailles, shells, acanthus and volutes, with rich gold decoration (partially rubbed) and polychrome floral painting, handled vase mounted on a base (very loose), inscribed 'jp' (Jacob Petit) on the underside, h. approx. 30.5 cm. Vase has a damage at the stand, base heavily rubbed at the top, signs of age and use.
