Significant art nouveau trinket box, german, Bruckmann/Heilbronn approx. 1900 , 800 silver, design by CARL STOCK, model 6881, produced approx. 1898 for the first time and presented at the world fair 1900 in Paris. Carl Stock 1876-1945, sculptor, draughtsman, medalist and craftsman, artistic director of the silverware factory P. Bruckmann & Sons. Indetail this is a rectangular hinge bonbonniere, which is commited to the golden cut with its slightly curved and tapering border. Each border is slightly and dynamically curved, that makes a big, but cautions vibrancy. The whole form and mouldingis influenced by the floral french art nouveau. An oval girls face with its half closed inward looking eyes floats on a poppy mesh and reflects directly death, sleep and heightened this world as deaths counterpart. The hat-like, opened tulip, that crowns the girls head, becomes visible by the closed tulip on the cover, that symbolizes wealth and transience. H. approx. 10,1 cm, d. approx. 7,5/10 cm, w. approx. 10,5/13,2 cm, lit.: Silber aus Heilbronn für die Welt, Solingen 2005, S. 131
