Stuart, Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840, Woodbridge, 2008, vol. II, p. 211). Related scroll arms can be found on a set of twelve brass-inlaid rosewood dining chairs for which a design dated 1810 exists in the Gillows' Estimate Sketch Books, see ibid., vol. I, p. 314, pl. 191. Another rosewood model with buhl-inlay, circa 1813, is at Tatton Park, Cheshire (ibid., pp. 220, pl. 203, 202).
