A gilt-bronze bottle decorated with enamel. The exterior depicts bats, auspicious characters and clouds on a mustard-coloured dotted background. In Chinese culture, bats represent happiness and good luck. Both lids are made of gilded bronze. On the base is a seal of four Qianlong characters 乾隆年制, executed in blue on ochre enamel. With restorations in the mouth and with natural wear.
