"此盒饱满圆正，气息典雅尊贵，紫铜为胎，铜质精纯，胎体细薄均整。盖面微弧，盖、身以子母口严丝合缝，底承圈足，盒内鎏金。外壁以乌铜走金工艺装饰，盖面以以花鸟纹装饰，瑞狮祥鸟穿梭其间，形象生动。 乌铜走金工艺始创于清朝雍正年间，以铜为胎，在胎上雕刻各种花纹图案，然后将熔化的金（或银）水填入花纹图案中，冷却后打磨光滑处理，时间久了底铜自然变为乌黑，透出金（或银）纹图案，呈现出黑黄（或黑白）分明的装饰效果，古香古色，典雅别致。此器纹饰极为繁复，通体满饰，花纹纤细如丝，流畅婉转，当属乾隆时期乌铜走金工艺的精品之作。
