Inscription and signature by the artist: “The Joy of the Fisherman. In summer in the sixth month of the yichou year (1745) painted in the style of Wang Du and inscribed, Yingpiao Huang Shen.” Two seals of the artist: “Gongshou”, “Huang Shen”. Huang Shen, style names Yingpiao and Gongshou, was especially known for his humorous figure paintings in a free ink style.
