A BLACKSTONE FIGURE OF VISHNU Nepal H. 47 cm Vishnu is seated on the stretched wings of Garuda standing on a lotus-base, placed against the upraised tail, both principle hands supporting attributes, the secondary ones with chakra and gada, wearing dhoti, upavita, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the aquiline nose-bridge, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, his hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara and a flaming halo behind his head.
