A BRONZE SHRINE West-India, ca. 15th ct. H. 9,1 cm The unusual rectangular shrine is standing on four legs, showing in the centre a female goddess seated in lalitasana on a throne with both hands placed on her lap holding an attribute, her body and face rubbed due to extensive worshipping, flanked to her right by a male deity seated in alidhasana on a lotus-base, both hands resting on his knees, his body and face as well rubbed, to her left a divinity head with incised almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows, a back-slab behind each of the three figures consisting of a common horizontal beam supporting three triangular sections and each topped with a knob.
