A Chinese blue-ground cloisonne vase dating from the 19th century. The body features a scene of a phoenix resting among flowers set against a Buddhist cross meander ground. The neck and shoulder are decorated with ruyi bands, a banana leaf band, and an eight character band. The foot has a band of lotus tracery. Dimensions are: 13 inches tall X 6 3/4 inches in diameter, 33 cm X 17.1 cm. All measurements are approximate.
