A pair of fine Dutch silver salt cellars, Diabolo-shaped with incurved plain stem on round base with claw feet. Embossed with rare decoration of fish, cockels and various shells and water plants. On the rim of the bowl an alliance coat of arms. Possibly inspired by prints of engraver, painter and tapistry designer Albert Flamen, Flemish but worked in Paris (mid 17th century).
