A Japanese wakizashi in original mounting, Shinto period (1600-1804, Edo period), Mountings for fuchi, kashira and kojiri made of silver. Tsuba made of shakudo with silver edge habaki: silver foil. Menuki: shishi in gold. Blade: shinogi zukuri, (blade with ridge line between edge and back) Ihori mune (v-shaped back side of the blade) saki sori (avarage curve of the blade) Notare hamon, (wavy temper line) Komaru boshi (tempering part returns partly on tre backside) Ubu nakago (original tang end, not shortened) Ha agari kuri jiri (nakago end) Hozon Certificate Issued by the N.B.T.H.K = Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai, Issue date: 01 Feb. 2005.
