Camille Claudel (1864-1943), Jeune Romain ou Mon Frère or Paul Claudel à seize ans , France, 20th century (1884), Dark patinated bronze, the artist s brother shown as a young Roman man, signed C. Claudel to the lower-left of the back and stamped with the diamond-shaped Valsuani foundry mark A. Valsuani and 0/6 to the lower right of the back. Claudel would probably have made the first model in 1884.
