FORMERLY THE PROPERTY OF JUAN CARLOS KATZENSTEIN (1925-2018): A PROMINENT ARGENTINIAN DIPLOMAT (BY REPUTE) AN ENAMELED YIXING SPITTOON, ZHADOU APOCRYPHAL MARK OF EMPEROR GUANGXU CHINA, POSSIBLY QING DYNASTY It rests on a spread foot and has a globular compressed body surmounted by a trumpet neck. The base and the inner part are covered with a turquoise glaze. The outer part is painted with light blue enamels with lotus flowers, banana leaves and stylized cicadas. The base bears a four-character mark of Emperor Guangxu in kaishu script.
