A JADE EMBELLISHED WOODEN BOX AND COVER CHINA, LATE QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY The box is of rectangular shape with round corners and rests on four short feet. The lid is embellished with a large oval shaped and dome shaped jade plaque carved in relief with a Daoist immortal holding a branch of banana tree accompanied by an attendant holding lingzhi fungus, both in a rocky landscape planted with pine trees.
