从2008年起，拉弗格每年都为其专属会员推出特殊装瓶的系列酒款，命名为Cairdeas （盖尔语意为：友谊）。每年发布的酒款都会由酒厂精心设计，在威士忌桶陈方面进行创新，给饮客带来持续不断的惊喜。
本拍品为2008年发布的第一版友谊作品，是友谊系列的开端之作，极具收藏价值。酒液首先熟成于四分之一桶，通过较小的威士忌酒桶体积加速酒液的熟成。最终将熟成过的酒分别熟成于初填波本桶和雪莉桶中，以此赋予多层次的风味特征。
