It went through numerous alterations before arriving at the noteworthy references 5513 (see lot 929 and 939). The 6536/1 has a thinner case than other models of the period and cased without crown guard, showcasing the classic features of the early models. The popularity of pre-crown guard Submariners has surged in recent years, thanks to their presence in the James Bond's film "Dr. No" and "Goldfinger". This present watch has aged handsomely while maintaining a great overall condition.
