雪山大士又称雪山童子、雪山婆罗门，此形象多描述佛祖释迦牟尼于山中静坐思维，不避风雨，身体消瘦，筋骨暴露，最终成佛之态。美国旧金山亚洲艺术馆藏雪山大士像与拍品造型相同，可资参阅。
此雪山大士精铜所制，通体厚重，铸工考究。头顶螺发肉髻，双耳垂肩，双目微闭，面容清癯。耸肩屈肘，双手扶右膝，支撑下颚而坐，似在坐禅思考。容貌奇古而含蓄浑成，既具长者平易之貌，又展现出庄严神圣的气息，颇为传神。身周可见漆金痕迹。
