胭脂红又称金红，是以一种金为着色剂的名贵低温色釉。因色如胭脂，故称“胭脂红”，以色泽柔美娇嫩著称，深受历代藏家所珍爱。
拍品为杯、盏成套成对，小杯侧设执柄，盏拖造型规整，器形灵巧端秀。杯外壁与盘内外均罩施胭脂红釉，色泽均匀浓艳，娇嫩华美。或为晚清时期订烧之咖啡杯、盏，秀美造型与亮丽釉色交映成趣，成套保存，较为难得。
