An Alloy Copper Silver-Inlaid Figure Of Bodhisattva With Inscriptions. Superbly and sensitively sculpted in the form of Bodhisattva seated in vajraparyankasana, and portrayed with a sensuous full face. A jeweled girdle secures the dhoti. The high topknot surmounted by a seated, miniature buddha figure. He is holding ritual items in several hands. There are two smaller, seated figures to his left and right (respectively), both sitting on double-lotus bases. 16th Century. Size: 20cmx7.5cmx25.5cm
