三丛兰花，浓墨写就兰叶，俊逸多姿；淡墨渲染兰花，清雅可人，花心用浓墨点出，般配着左下角的题诗：“素心兰与赤心兰，总把芳心与客看。岂是春风能酿得，曾经霜雪十分寒。”兰花的芳心，就在这一刻散发出幽香。 郑板桥善画兰、竹、石。在他的画里，你常常可以看到书法的笔法，正如他画的兰花“兰叶用焦墨挥毫，以草书之中竖长撇法运之”，俨然融入了草书的笔意，着实使他的兰花拥有了非同一般的潇洒。相反，在他的书法中也融入了画法的笔法，他创造了“六分半书”，纵横错落，飘洒有致。
