Damien Hirst, British, b.1965-Spot Fender Telecaster, 2012; unique acrylic on metal electric guitar, signed on the reverse, this work was produced for a raffle raising funds for Strummerville, organised by the Joe Strummer Foundation, 2012, overall 99.5 x 32.5 x 6.5cm (ARR)Provenance: won by the present owner, Strummerville Raffle, 2012. Note: this lot is accompanied by vinyl and fabric festival wrist bands and a hard Gator Case.This Fender Squier Telecaster was painted by Damien Hirst for the Strummer of Love festival in 2012, where it was raffled off for the Strummerville charity. This unique guitar features Damien Hirst抯 iconic multicoloured dots against a classic black Telecaster. Hirst has created a number of customised guitars, starting in 2010 in order to raise money for various charities, other examples include a Fender Stratocaster as well as a Gibson Les Paul.Please refer to department for condition report
