Provenance: Robin Howard CBE (1924-1989) and thence by descent. Howard was an associate of London's Gallery One and a trained lawyer, hotelier and restaurateur. He was a flamboyant philanthropist, an avid supporter of the arts and the founder of the London Contemporary Dance Group (despite losing both his legs in the War).
