AN UNUSUAL CHINESE STONEWARE POT, EASTERN HAN DYNASTY (25-220AD). The tapered pot with four horizontal looped handles and bands of incised decoration. Originally would have been covered in a proto-celadon type glaze but only remains visual to the base. From Guangdong Province. 17cm height. Base diam. 17.8cm Provenance: From a private Essex collection. Purchased from Abhaya Asian Antiques, Hong Kong 2004. Condition: Small area of repair to rim. Otherwise in good overall condition.
