A Large Lacquer-Gilt Bronze Figure of Manjushri China, Ming dynasty, 17th century. Seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base supported by a lion, with the right hand raised, wearing long, flowing robes open at the chest to reveal a jewelled necklace, the face with a serene expression, the back of the robe with inscription. Height 76 cm. width 55cm. Provenance: Private Dutch Collection.
