After Sir Anthony Van Dyck, Flemish 1599-1641- Virgin and Child with two donors; oil on panel, 18.3 x 14.3 cm. Note: After the original and much larger oil by Van Dyck, conceived in 1630, and today held in the Louvre, Paris [Inv.1231]. The identity of the two kneeling donors is unknown but they are presumed to be a rich couple from Antwerp, where van Dyck was then working. The original painting was recorded in the collection of Louis XIV of France in as early as 1685.Please refer to department for condition report
