Ancient Greece, late Classical to Hellenistic Period, ca. 5th to 1st century BCE. A cast-bronze oinochoe of miniature size with a discoid foot, an inverted piriform body with a rounded shoulder, a slender neck with a pinched pouring spout, and an arching handle. The unperforated neck suggests this was meant as a votive offering rather than a utilitarian vessel. Thick layers of green and brown patina have formed across its surfaces. Size: 0.75" W x 1.5" H (1.9 cm x 3.8 cm); 2.4" H (6.1 cm) on included custom stand. Provenance: private Denver, Colorado, USA collection; ex-John B.
