此炉以商周青铜鬲为本化裁而来，造型端庄，古雅大方。敞口唇沿，束直颈饰以细密的云雷纹，腹部分档似袋，三足自然胥出，粗浑壮硕，三足对应的腹部各饰兽面纹，并以出戟界隔。整器造型稳重，工艺精湛细腻，纹饰精美，包浆浑厚，为清代仿古器物的代表作品。
