提要：拍品为希腊语著作，犊皮（vellum）古软精装。此书为古罗马历史学家阿庇安用希腊文撰写的《罗马史》，记载了上始于罗马王政时代，下止于2世纪初图拉真皇帝时期，近900年的历史，为研究古罗马史的重要史书。
《罗马史》按民族编写，现在完整保留下来的有叙述西班牙、迦太基、伊利里亚、叙利亚、汉尼拔、米特拉达梯以及内战的各卷，计有11卷，拍品残卷部分全。
阿庇安（Appianus，约95-165），古罗马历史学家，希腊人，获罗马公民权。曾任御审案件检察官、行省总督等职。在《罗马史》中，提出土地问题为罗马共和时期自由民内部斗争的动因。
