The shaped plaque with concave sides simulating a scroll, with an upper and lower pole for rolling, the large central silver-mounted ritual shrine in high relief, depicting a bodhisattva, probably Guanyin, seated cross-legged upon a lotus base and holding a lance with entwined serpent in one hand, in the other, a floral bouquet, beneath and above two additional pairs of smaller silver reliefs containing another enshrined bodhisattva, the ground composed of numerous rectangular turquoise and coral tiles.Size: 18 x 1 x 18 5/8 in.
