PROPERTY OF VARIOUS OWNERS A GROUP OF EIGHT YIXING TEAPOTS AND COVERS20th century prising a globular teapot with an S-shaped spout, recessed cover, and copper overhead handle, an impressed seal to the base, the lid with two impressed seals enclosed within double gourds reading 'Yufeng'; a teapot with a handle and spout each in the form of a gnarled branch, the globular body and cover each carved and molded with squirrels and grape vines, the lid with a two-character mark, the base with an impressed four-character seal mark; four covered teapots each ofpressed globular form with the base impressed with a four-character seal mark, one incised with an inscription around the sides, another incised with an inscription and bamboo, the other two unadorned; a rectangular-section covered teapot with sloping sides and an angular handle and spout, the base with an impressed six-character mark; and a small domed teapot, the plain exterior encased in silver with an openwork 'dragon' design, the cover encased with an openwork geometric motif in silver, the interior of the cover and the base each impressed with square seal marks. 7 1/8in (18.1cm) width of widest over handle (8). Please note this Lot is to be sold at No Reserve. The black Yixing teapot in this group closely relates to one from the Florence and Herbert Irving Collection that sold at Christie's, New York, 26 March 2019, lot 7, which bears identical double-gourd-shaped Yufeng seals on the cover, but a different maker's mark on the base of the teapot.
