释文：遯兄鉴：大理院刻书启，谅早已入览，小翁意仍请陶氏主持，绶□□应允矣，惟字体必须用方字，以仿宋太参差，稍欠俨正之姿耳，否则宁可铅印，且须在京为之，不得在宁沪另设一局，小翁不以为然，又不愿来京，榷商匪易，此老近来愈固执，杏公、积余等均有信来，甚有牢骚也，弟谓辑校尚未尽，宜再近半年授经，庶事繁冗，定要早早了结，蕴师不愿豫其事，听听弗闻，揣其情势，一切仍未坚确。知关注念，专此奉陈，即请道安，不一。
国维再拜，三月廿四日。
前问《茅亭客话》，敝处有红墨两本，今始检出，谨将红本奉呈。
