提要：云林寺即灵隐寺，清康熙帝南巡时，赐名为“云林禅寺”，为清代杭州诸佛寺之冠。嘉庆二十一年，寺遭火毁，因修复工费甚巨。迁延数载而未复建。此事后为嘉庆帝所知，遂拨公帑银一万两，下谕复建。故乃续修此志。
