Circa 1st century A.D. A pale glass beaker with U-section body, ground rim, gently tapering side walls and flared foot, the body decorated with concentric wheel-cut bands. Cf. The British Museum, museum number 1901,0413.3002, for similar, without foot. 38 grams, 85 mm tall x 62 mm diameter (3 1/4 x 2 1/4 in.). From the collection of a cloth merchant Mr. Heinrich Vossiek (1865-1974), Bielefeld, Germany. Acquired on the German art market in 2013. German private collection.
