A group of cylinder sealsprising: a Mitanni haematite seal with a frieze of quadrupeds, symbols to the field; a small Syrian haematite seal with a hunter flanked by two rearing quadrupeds, a vertical band of herringbone decoration behind the quadrupeds; a Neo-Assyrian black steatite seal with three standing priests and starburst motifs to the field; a Mitanni haematite seal with a pair of regardant capricorns and tree of life, crescent symbols in the field; each mounted on an identification card with impression, a collection number and a hand written note in French. 119 grams total, 12 x 9 cm each (4 3/4 x 3 1/2 in.).
