AVRIL', 66cm wide, 39cm deep, 109cm high (25 1/2in wide, 15in deep, 42 1/2in high) Etienne Avril, maitre 23 November 1774.Evidently Avril flourished as a cabinet maker during the Louis XVI period with various examples of his notably restrained but highly elegant style illustrated in P. Kjellberg, Le Mobilier Francais du XVIIIeme Siecle, 1989, Paris, pp.'s 38-42.
