10th-7th century B.C. A high-quality leaf-shaped spearhead with raised midrib, square shoulders, collared neck and tapering, rectangular-section tang. Cf. Moorey, P. R. Bronze spearheads with a long hollow socket and rivet holes at the base are among the characteristic types of weapons in tomb 1 at Toul, similar to some specimens found in the Marlik area. In one type, the knob is at the middle of the socket, nearer to the square shoulders of the blade. This type has a foliate-triangular blade tapering towards the point, like our specimen and other specimens found in Ghalekuti. In our specimen, there are three knobs, making it a possibly heavier development of this typology. Moorey suggested a date of 9th-8th century B.C. for this typology.
