A Papal document issued two years after the enthronement of Pius IX, providing 20 pages of ink Latin text in a clear hand on paper and signed by Cardinal Luigi Lambruschini and the Pope's secretary; with applied red ink seal of Pius IX; apanied by a slightly later 'carte de visite' sepia photograph of Pius IX, seated in his robes and bearing an official black ink seal to the reverse and which would likely have been personally blessed by the Pope. 83 grams, 29 x 21 cm (11 1/2 x 8 1/4 in.).
