Carved Stone Antefix BlockGreat Britain, possibly 3rd-2nd century BCE, the front surface carved with an egg-shaped face, elliptical eyes, triangular mouth, and horizontal nose, the hair depicted with radiating lines framing the face, 10 x 15 x 8 in. Provenance: Purchased from Robert Wace Ancient Art, December 10, 2000, found in a field in Sollers Hope, Herefordshire in the 1920s.
