A MAHOGANY OPEN BOOKCASECIRCA 1835 AND LATERThe shelves flanked by rounded pilasters with scroll and paterae capitals193cm high, 104cm wide, 38cm deep Provenance: Lockerley Hall, Hampshire品相报告: There are some marks, scratches, knocks, chips, splits and abrasions consistent with age and use.There are six adjustable shelves, the notched sections with adjustable shelf supports. The shelves are pine with mahogany veneers to the fronts of the shelves.There are losses and restorations including the front pilasters that have been joined in an unusual way with later staining covering the joins. This may indicate some alteration has occurred hence dating as circa 1835 and later. Some chips to the carved capitals, cracks to the sides, veneer repairs.The back is pine with double vertical support slats.There is evidence of worm or some similar holes including to the interior sides of the bookcase.Please refer to the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.
