The vessel exhibits an apple-shaped body with a concave base, a gently rounded shoulder that tapers to form a wide neck, and a slightly everted rim with an in-folded lip. Jars like this would have contained various types of medicinal or cooking ingredients, perfumes, or scarce substances used for trading purposes.
