Provenance:The Crawley-Boevey Family Sold Flaxley Abbey, Gloucestershire, Bruton, Knowles & Co., 29 March-5th April 1960, lot 1337Bought by Mr and Mrs Frederick Baden-Watkins and thence by descent at Flaxley Abbey Previously identified as Capt. George Savage (label on the reverse), but most probably Rev. Thomas Savage, Rector of Standish, who married Eleanor Barrow in 1737. Their daughter Anne married Thomas Crawley-Boevey, 2nd Baronet of Highgrove in 1769.
