Fine central depiction of a seated Luohan on a Fo-dog in a rocky landscape and under a densely clouded sky. The figure of the Luohan dressed in long flowing garments, seated in royal ease posture and placed on a reclined Fo-dog. His left foot is placed on the Fo-dog’s head in a taming manner, his raised right hand holds a scepter-like staff, his left hand is placed in his lap holding a magic jewel. The Luohan’s head with curls falling on his shoulder and bare top, framed by a large circular halo. Inscribed on the outside of the scroll with collector’s number ‘1513/AMM’ and in Chinese.

Condition: Age-related condition, partly cracks and some wear, small losses in the material
